SBKT Series in Tube Design for applications up to 800 kV

Surge arrester housed in polymer housing developed for the protection of outdoor high voltage equipment, HVDC, SC and SVC applications against atmospheric or system immanent overvoltage.
Our arresters with silicone housing in tube design of the SBKT series are available for applications up to 800 kV.
Similar to porcelain housed arresters, Tridelta uses a hollow insulator as housing for the arresters. The composite insulator is made of a Fibreglass Reinforced Plastic tube (FRP), with silicone rubber sheds directly molded onto it. Composite insulators do have a very high mechanical stability.
As for all our arresters with silicone housing, Tridelta uses high-quality LSR silicone which keeps its hydrophobic and UV-resistant/non ageing properties over the complete service life and ensures excellent artificial pollution performance. An outstanding sealing system prevents from any moisture ingress and assures a long service life.

The selection of the rated and the continuous operating voltage of the arresters is depending on the neutral point treatment of the network. Guidelines for selection: see VDE 0675- 5 and IEC 60099-5
