Glass Fibre Dry Type Cast Resin Power Transformer

Up to 40 MVA, 72.5 kV
• This type of transformer is commonly used in distribution network systems
• Can be used as a step-down transformer in commercial buildings and industrial facilities
• Can be used as a step-up transformer in Renewable Power Plant such as Hydro, solar, wind, etc.
• Can also be designed as Load or Idle Switch
• Transformers are naturally IP00 but can be mounted inside an enclosure with IP21 for indoor use or IP55 protection degree for outdoor use. Enclosure IP rating can be manufactured according to the requirement.
• Manufactured up to 40 MVA rated power and up to 72.5 kV rated primary voltage
Technology Concept
• Can use Aluminum or Copper winding insulated using a glass fiber epoxy resin laminate
• The HV coil is cast into moulds under vacuum process with pure epoxy resin.
• The LV coil has an option to cast into moulds or VPI design.
• Coils are Partial Discharge Free and impulse voltage proof.
• The insulation system is up to temperature class H(180°C).
Environmental Protection
The transformer is Air Insulated and Air Cooled. No risk for leakage, no need for oil collecting pits, no fireproofing of walls/fire barriers and does not emit toxic gasses, corrosive gases, or halogens.
Overload Capability
• Coils are designed with air ducts to cool the windings, allowing extra overload advantage.
• Has an option to install 6 cross flow fan assembly for forced cooling AF (40%)
Low losses
Step lap core construction has a lower excitation current thus, reducing the losses which makes it more efficient and economically effective.
Maintenance Free
No maintenance under normal environmental conditions
Longer Life Span
Life Expectancy is greater than 30 years.
High confidence
Excellent insulation against short-circuit and lightning
Safety
Coils are hardly inflammable and self-extinguishing as materials used are extremely low burnable.
Standards
BEST Dry Type Cast Resin Transformers covers the following international standards:
